Stress, Fatigue, & The Thyroid Connection

The thyroid gland is responsible for producting hormones that control many metabolic functions. If you are feeling blue, fatigued,  irritable, or unhappy with your weight your thyroid may not be functioning correctly.

It is estimated that 13 million Americans have some kind of thyroid dysfunction and may be in need of thyroid support. There are several suspected causes of thyroid dysfunction; one of those is stress. For some people, being under serious stress for a prolonged period of time can lead to thyroid challenges. Sincethe thyroid plays such a huge role in metabolic functions of the body, fatigue is the most common symptom of a low-functioning thyroid gland.

There a several ways support a thyroid challenge. Your doctor may suggest  certain herbs, minerals, vitamins, or specialized extractions of thyroid glands in order to help improve the function of the thyroid gland and help you feel more energized again.
